Most launches don't fail because the product is bad. They fail because nobody answered the basic questions before spending money. Work through this list before your launch.
1. Customer
- Who exactly is the buyer? Job title, company size, situation.
- Who else influences the decision?
- Where do they look for solutions today?
- Have you spoken to at least 10 of them?
2. Problem
- What problem do you solve, in their words?
- How are they solving it now?
- What does the problem cost them?
3. Positioning
- Can you say what you do in one sentence?
- Who are your real competitors, including "do nothing"?
- Why are you different, and can you prove it?
4. Pricing & offer
- How will you price: per user, per project, subscription?
- How does your price compare to the alternatives?
- What's the first offer: a trial, a pilot, a launch discount?
5. Channels
- Which 2-3 channels will you focus on first?
- What's the budget for each?
- What does a lead cost, and what is a customer worth?
6. Sales & handoffs
- What counts as a qualified lead?
- Who follows up, and how fast?
- Is your CRM set up to track it?
7. Launch plan
- Is there a launch date with a 90-day plan behind it?
- Who owns each piece?
- Are your website, emails and tracking ready before day one?
8. Measure
- What are the 3-5 numbers you'll check every week?
- What would make you change course?
Can't answer half of these? That's normal, and it's exactly what our Launch Plan package is for.
